Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had a call with the President of France, Emmanuel Macron. The two leaders discussed the forthcoming European Council (which will be held through video conference), the report by the European Commission and the High Representative, relations between the European Union and Turkey, the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean and developments in Libya, as well as the Covid-19 pandemic.
They also had the chance to talk about the historic relations between the two allies, which have remained steadfast in the 200 years that followed the start of the struggle for independence and are celebrated these days in the festivities for Greece’s National Day, on March 25.
