Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met this evening with the Prince of Wales, at Dumfries House, in Scotland.

During the visit, which was held following an invitation from the Prince of Wales, the Prime Minister was given a tour of the historic building and the Dumfries House estate, which has been managed by The Prince’s Foundation since 2007, with major restoration projects undertaken to preserve the important cultural heritage of the region.

The meeting of the Prime Minister with His Royal Highness, who once again expressed his interest in Greece, focused on the holistic strategy implemented by The Prince’s Foundation for the restoration of Dumfries House and the surrounding estate, the development of educational, environmental and cultural activities and the establishment of the estate as a “green” landmark that is open to the public throughout the year, offering employment opportunities to the local community.

Stressing connection with nature, The Prince’s Foundation welcomes thousands of schoolchildren to Dumfries House every year offering courses that promote respect for the natural environment, which include sustainable practices, food production and gardening.

Prime Minister Mitsotakis stressed that his goal is the promotion, in the same manner, of the Tatoi estate and facilities.
