Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis meets the royal couple of Belgium

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, along with his wife, Mareva Grabowski-Mitsotaki, welcomed today King Philippe of Belgium and Queen Mathilde, who are paying an official visit to Greece.

During the extended meeting that followed, the delegations of both sides reviewed the excellent relations between the two countries and discussed the prospects of deepening the cooperation, with special emphasis on the field of investments, especially regarding energy and renewable sources.

The Prime Minister referred to the reforms and initiatives undertaken by the government that have significantly reinforced investments in Greece, in a range of sectors. He also outlined the initiatives undertaken by the country for the diversification of energy sources and the moves in order to turn Greece into an energy gateway to the Balkans and Europe.

They also discussed regional and international developments, focusing on the developments in Ukraine.

Moreover, both sides exchanged views on Migration, as they both reached the conclusion that a common management at European level is required.
