Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsoyta met this morning, in Maximos Mansion, with the Prime Minister of Bavaria Markus Söder, in the context of the visit of the Bavarian State Parliament delegation.
During the meeting, the two sides acknowledged that there is margin to further promote bilateral economic and business cooperation, while the Prime Minister pointed out the advantages of Greece and the stable environment that makes the country an attractive investment destination.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis also referred to the Greek energy policy and the initiatives undertaken by Greece in order to become a hub for energy transfer from the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East to the EU.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister also informed Mr Söder about the Turkish aggressive behavior, stressing that the EU has a strategic interest in preserving a stable and safe environment in the Mediterranean region, especially under this crucial circumstance.
During their conversation, they referred to the issue of migration and the need to effectively safeguard the external borders of the EU and demonstrate solidarity towards the countries that are at the frontline.
