Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola, shortly before he addressed the Plenary Session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
During their meeting, the Prime Minister referred to the national support programme that has been designed to tackle the reevaluations in electricity prices and he repeated his proposal to break the link between the price of natural gas in the wholesale market and the final price of electricity that reaches the consumer. He also stressed the fact that Greece can become an energy transportation hub from the wider region towards the Balkans and Europe.
The Prime Minister pointed out the progress that Greece has achieved in the economic field, highlighting the wide range of structural reforms to reinforce competitiveness and social cohesion.
