Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met, on Wednesday, with the King of Jordan Abdullah II
The meeting was held in a particularly warm atmosphere, which reflects the very good relations between the two countries. The two leaders expressed their satisfaction over their exceptional cooperation, but also the overall course of the relations between the two countries and reiterated their mutual will to further develop them, both on a bilateral and a trilateral level, along with Cyprus.
More specifically, the two leaders discussed cooperation in the economic field, focusing on the energy sector, as well as the trilateral scheme of Greece, Cyprus and Jordan.
They pointed out the prospect of developing synergies, while the Prime Minister underlined the role of Greece as an entry point for electrical interconnection projects in the region.
The two leaders also had the opportunity to exchange views on regional and international developments, especially regarding the Eastern Mediterranean, the Middle East and Ukraine.
The Prime Minister informed the Jordanian monarch about the escalation of Turkish provocation and the risks to stability and security in the region.
