Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ meetings with the Prime Minister of Vietnam Pham Minh and the Prime Minister of Thailand Prayut Chan-o-cha

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met today with the Prime Minister of Vietnam Pham Minh and the Prime Minister of Thailand Prayut Chan-o-cha, on the sidelines of the EU-ASEAN Summit.

During the meeting with the Prime Minister of Vietnam, the two sides expressed the mutual will to develop the relations between the two countries, which have intensified their high-level meetings, as well as the wish to strengthen economic and trade cooperation.

The Prime Minister pointed out the potential for development in the fields of tourism, energy and infrastructure.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis stressed the importance that the two countries attribute to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) and pointed out that the path to settle differences is through International Law.

During the meeting between the Prime Minister and his counterpart of Thailand, Prayut Chan-o-cha, the signing of the agreement on the mutual exemption of diplomatic passports from obligatory entry visas was formalised.
