Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ meetings with the CEO of Intel and the President of Moldova in Davos

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met this evening with Patrick Gelsinger, CEO of the high-tech company Intel, in the context of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

During his meeting with Mr Gelsinger, they discussed the investment opportunities offered in Greece and the prospect of a cooperation.

The CEO of Intel congratulated the Prime Minister on Greece’s performance these last years. He said “Your work has been exceptional under difficult conditions”.

Earlier the Prime Minister had a meeting with the President of Moldova Maia Sandu. They examined the challenges deriving from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and Moscow’s instrumentalisation of natural gas exports.

The Prime Minister pointed out that Greece is investing in the development of infrastructures that will further upgrade its role as an energy import hub in southern Europe and as a pillar to reinforce energy security and the undisrupted supply in the wider region, including Moldova.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis congratulated President Sandu on the fact that Moldova has undertaken the organisation of the next Summit of the European Political Community and expressed his support on the European perspective of the country.

The Prime Minister also had a brief meeting with Klaus Schwab, founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum.
