Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had a telephone conversation with the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
During their conversation, the Prime Minister expressed his distress over the devastating earthquake in Turkey and conveyed to Mr Erdoğan the support and condolences on behalf of the government and the Greek people for the loss of human lives.
The Prime Minister reiterated Greece’s readiness to immediately assist Turkey in every way – in addition to the team that has already departed and is heading to the region- in dealing with the consequences of the devastating earthquake.
Mr Erdoğan thanked the Prime Minister for his support and the immediate assistance.
