Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met today with the Commissioner for Budget and Administration, Johannes Hahn.
During the meeting, they discussed the Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027 and the new own resources for the EU budget.
There was also an exchange of views on the European Commission’s initiatives to strengthen industrial policy and support innovation.
The Prime Minister pointed out that the new financial framework which is under negotiation should provide sufficient scope in order to address exceptional needs, which proved to be necessary in the past, while boosting the EU’s competitiveness and preserving social cohesion.
