Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ meetings with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and President of the Republic of Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed international and regional issues.

In particular, they discussed the latest developments in Ukraine and the continued support of the Alliance, as reflected most recently at the NATO Summit in Vilnius. The Prime Minister referred to the support provided by Greece to Ukraine from the very first moment.

Furthermore, Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Jens Stoltenberg exchanged views on the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Afterwards, Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with the President of the Republic of Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol.

The two leaders discussed the prospect of strengthening and deepening bilateral economic relations, following the recent visit to Greece by a delegation of Korean companies and their meeting with the Prime Minister.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis referred to the prospects of the Greek economy, as well as the investment opportunities presented in Greece.

In addition, they discussed the goal of shipping decarbonization, the contribution of the Korean shipbuilding industry to this achievement, as well as Busan’s candidacy to host EXPO 2030.
