Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology of the United Arab Emirates, Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, at Maximos Mansion.
During the meeting, they discussed the strengthening of the strategic relationship between Greece and the United Arab Emirates through mutually beneficial synergies at all levels, with particular emphasis on renewable energy sources, a sector in which Greece has a leading role.
In the presence of the Prime Minister, the binding Financing and Implementation Agreement regarding the project on the transformation of Poros into «GR-eco Island», between the Greek Government, represented by the Ministry of Environment and Energy, and MASDAR, which was announced at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) in Dubai last December, was signed.
They also signed a second renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Hellenic Development Bank of Greece (HDB) and the United Arab Emirates investment fund MUBADALA Investment Co., for the joint undertaking of investment initiatives.
