Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had a telephone conversation with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
During their telephone conversation, they discussed the latest developments, ahead of the Special European Council meeting in Brussels on Thursday 6 March.
The Prime Minister briefed Mr Zelensky on the Greek positions ahead of the European Council and reiterated the European Union’s commitment to a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.
He underlined that this requires a significant strengthening of EU and Ukrainian defence capabilities, as well as US support. Kyriakos Mitsotakis stressed that Greece will continue to support Ukraine.
