Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had a telephone conversation this afternoon with the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu, at the latter’s initiative.
The Prime Minister stressed the need for a de-escalation. He acknowledged that Iran must not acquire a nuclear arsenal, but stressed that the solution lies in diplomacy and that the last thing the region needs is new flashpoints.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphatically stressed the need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the release of hostages and the unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid.
