Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had a telephone conversation with the President of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
During their telephone conversation, they exchanged views on regional developments, with an emphasis on the situation in Gaza and developments in Libya.
They also discussed the need to strengthen cooperation on migration.
The Prime Minister and the President of Egypt emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation and coordination between the two countries on issues concerning maritime zones in the Eastern Mediterranean for the benefit of security and stability in the region.
Progress in the discussions between Greece and Egypt on the issue of the Holy Monastery of Saint Catherine of Sinai and the need for a swift agreement were also discussed.
