Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had a telephone conversation with United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

During their telephone conversation, they discussed the excellent level of Greek-American relations, reinforced by the growth of American investment in Greece, as well as the mutual desire to further strengthen relations both bilaterally and multilaterally, through formats such as “3+1” with the participation of Cyprus and Israel.

They also exchanged views on the situation in Libya. They discussed the need to strengthen the political process that will lead the country to free elections and free it from foreign presence and influence, the obligation to universally respect international law in relation to the delimitation of maritime zones, and the need to control illegal migration flows.
