Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis participated in the teleconference of EU leaders convened by the President of the European Council Antonio Costa and in the teleconference of European People’s Party leaders.
During the teleconferences, information was provided and yesterday’s meetings on Ukraine in Washington were assessed.
The Prime Minister noted that it is positive that after yesterday’s meetings there is visibility for the next steps and for a meeting between the President of Ukraine and the President of Russia soon.
He also stressed the need for an immediate ceasefire and expressed his satisfaction with the United States’ intention to support security guarantees.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis reiterated Greece’s long-standing position on the inviolability of borders.
