Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with the interim President of Syria Ahmed Al-Sharaa, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of an inclusive political process that would protect the rights of all minorities and made special reference to the need to protect Christian populations as well as the need to respect international law.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis underlined Greece’s readiness to support the reconstruction of Syria.
