Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis participated via teleconference in the exchange of views and briefing of European Union leaders on the latest developments in Ukraine, which was organized exceptionally by the President of the European Council António Costa on the sidelines of the EU-African Union Summit in Angola.
During the teleconference, there was mutual understanding regarding the progress made in yesterday’s meetings between the US and Ukraine in Geneva, while the efforts of Presidents Trump and Zelenskyy were welcomed.
Furthermore, the leaders agreed that any decision falling within the EU’s remit would be discussed directly with EU members and would need to be agreed by them.
