Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with the President of the European Council António Costa.
During the meeting, Mr. Costa briefed the Prime Minister on his tour of the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. They also discussed the latest developments and prospects for peace in Iran and the Middle East, while stressing the need for a diplomatic solution, as well as a solution that would ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
The Prime Minister and the President of the European Council also highlighted the need for progress in the negotiations on Lebanon.
