Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met at Maximos Mansion with the new President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Petra Bayr.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of the role played by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, particularly at a time of heightened and multifaceted challenges, while also referring to the role played in this capacity by the predecessor of Ms. Bayr – who assumed the Presidency in January 2026 – Theodoros Roussopoulos.
Ms. Bayr congratulated the Prime Minister on the government’s achievements in the economic sector and in improving citizens’ standard of living.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on the challenges posed by artificial intelligence, particularly for minors, while also discussing the progress and reform support for the countries of the Western Balkans.
